Nigerian National Arraigned For Alleged Rape, Indecent Assault, Child Pornography, Sexual Exploitation

Prince Michael Itrechio, a Nigerian national, was arraigned before Justice Kuejubola of the Kanifing High Court and charged with eight counts of rape, indecent assault, child pornography and sexual exploitation.

On counts one and two, prosecutors alleged that the accused, Prince Michael Itrechio, on or about the 3rd of July, 2017, at the Read Club Organization at Bijilo, West Coast Region of the Republic of The Gambia, within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court, intentionally and under coercive circumstance, had unlawful carnal knowledge of one Mariama Badjie and Aminata Ceesay.

Counts three and four, according to prosecutors, the accused, at the same place and year, inserted his finger into the private parts of Mariama Badjie and Aminata Ceesay.

It was also alleged that the accused, on counts five and six, at the same place and year, took a photograph of the private parts of Aminata Ceesay and Mariama Badjie. Counts seven and eight indicated that the accused, Prince Michael Itrechio, at the same place and year, again inserted his finger into the private parts of Mariama Badjie and Aminata Ceesay.

However, he denied any wrong doing, and was subsequently remanded in custody. The case was adjourned to the 13th November, 2018, for hearing.
