The High court case in which former Agriculture Minister Omar Amadou Jallow sued the media outlet, Kerr Fatou resumes today. OJ is seeking D20m in compensatory damages with D1M being legal and administrative cost in a defamation case against Kerr Fatou.
The former agriculture minister and leader of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) is seeking damages for a report on the Kerr Fatou website that he connived with a businessman to sell tones of government fertilizer.
This allegation was denied by the former Minister resulting to him seeking redress from the courts. The allegations according to OJ left his family and friends upset and bewildered, damaged his reputation and caused him distress.
He is being represented by lawyer Badou Conteh.
